Welcome
We are the local Amnesty group, campaigning for human rights in the Aberdeen area.
We meet on the second Wednesday of each month (except August), from 7:30 - 9-30 pm.
Our meetings take place in the meeting room (2nd floor) of the Belmont Picturehouse, Belmont Street, right in the heart of Aberdeen.
We are a diverse and friendly group, and always welcome new faces. (You don't have to be a member).
What do we do?
- Campaign for human rights (currently focussing on Burma, W. Africa, Tibet and Gypsy Travellers)
- Raise funds through events and collections.
- Work to raise the profile of Amnesty and human rights issues locally.
- Collaborate with other local campaigning groups on areas of common interest.
